Is there a schedule of the 75 pins available, with the relevant locations and dates?
We know that the Torch Relay only lasts for 70 days, and we can see from the pictures here that two pins will be issued on the first day (corresponding to the start and finish locations). Presumably, then, pins will be issued for all start and finish locations? However, when the Torch Relay finishes in a location one evening and then starts from the same place the following morning, then what date will be on the pin?
I want to obtain a mix of pins by dates (to match family birthdays) and of places (where I have lived over the years), but I don't know exactly how dates and locations relate to each other.
I know that this may not be important to most people, but I would like to know what dates relate to what places, so that I know how to make arrangements to get the pins that I require.
anyone know how to get a Day 1 pin please? I would REALLY like the Lands End one ....please
Lands end is the start of the torch relay hence worthy of its own pin, then the Plymouth one is where the evening celebration is. There is not 2 pins per area, normally only one per day :)
Guys, as I understand it, day 1 gets 2 pins, one for the start and one for the Celebration Venue. Every other day gets one pin, the end location. But the are some days, eg the isle of Man, where there will be a pin for the island and a pin for the end of day location. I think some of the Scottish islands are the same. I'm not sure of exactly very time this occurs, but I know it's the approach they've taken, hence 75 pins for a 70 day relay.
I'll see if I can get a schedule.
SO .....as I said before .... CAN anyone get me a DAY 1 Lands end pin ? ....or tell me how to get one ???
well .... tonight Beckham was wearing a Moment to Shine Pin ...but which pins were Boris Johnson and Seb Coe wearing ....any idea???
I thoughts Seb's was a moment to shine one too, but on wonky
... on wonky ... that sounds more like Boris!
So has anyone got the Day 1 Pin? I have tried to email to get 5 pins of the days I want ....Has anyone ordered the whole set or the framed set?
Just to let everyone know that I have had confirmation of my order from Steve as per the excellent webpage!
