1/10: More Venue Pins at Glamorous Living

It seems that more of the elusive venue collection pins have appeared at Glamorous Living today. Thanks to a reader, news that some Gymnastics sports poses pins are now on sale.

The 5 pins in question were not widely available during the Games but have now appeared on the Glamorous Living website.

I would imagine that there will not be many of these sets available as the pins were limited to 2,012 each and potentially SOME were sold during the Olympics.

It seems, this is completely different set, than I have ever seen on eBay. I hope glam will have more venue pins, so hard to find pin from all venues (can find archery, fencing, football, tennis) Please sent me email, if someone wants to trade: piotreks@aol.pl

A few more pins have appeared tonight from the Glam fairy - Atheletics Walk & Run and some additional pictograms for Canoe Slalom, Canoe Sprint, Volleyball and Beach Volleyball.

None of these seemed to be available during the games and are only coming out now weeks after they ended - a very bizarre strategy!

As now that the OFFICIAL on line 2012 shop has closed its doors, it is left to the Glam Fairy and her crew to help meet the needs of the collector. To say that I was over joyed with the service that London 2012 Shop gave,,, ie the strange postage fees charged at times... the slowness of their despatch of items and their inability to sell things in a timely manner.... I could go on, but why bother, all in all the on line shop did give us a look at what was on offer in the range. Even if it could not always sell it to us.... Now it is down to the Fairy to help fill our gaps in our collections. And yes as there are STILL many of the 2012 pins not YET issued, she will have her work cut out for her in the coming weeks..... Long live the Fairy I say.

I have just found this site as i started collecting pins very late on. BUT I did go to Hyde Park on 3 occasions the week before they closed and the sale went down to 50% off then 75% off. When that shop closed all of the stock was sent to Green Park - which closed on 30th September. Both of these sites had quite a few venue pins including table tennis, marathon swimming 10k,sailing,artistic gymnastics, canoe slalom, track cycling, BMX

well....one has to question the marketing strategy for sure! I am still in the market for the "Our Greatest Team" pin listed elsewhere on this veritable site....Has ANYONE seen it at all?

I've been hunting everywhere for the football and tennis versions but no luck and starting to doubt its existence. The tennis set with Wenlock, pictogram and venue pin also has been elusive.

It's definitely not been the greatest marketing team for the pins!

I am also starting to doubt the existence of the tennis venue pin. I am trying to collect the venue pins for the events I attended and the tennis one is the only one I've never seen.

Football definitely exists - I bought from the Hyde Park store in the first couple of days it was open.

Well, it's good to hear that the football pin exists at least! Hopefully some more of them will turn up somewhere...

The glam fairy is working her magic again. The elusive tennis pin venue has gone up tonight, along with some more pictogram pins.

Now if only the glam fairy could magic us some affordable UK map pin sets we'd all be happy!

Are the Tennis pins still there?

No tennis pins showing right now. Guess they sold out fast. The Mall venue pins (running and walk) have gone too.

Has anyone started receiving e-mails from a company in China called lapel-pins-create.com?

This isn't just any old spam. This is specific to pins. And my e-mail can only have been passed on from GL, P&T or London 2012.

Anyone else had this?

If you've only ordered from one of the above and you've got it, well then we know who is making some extra money passing on our e-mails - so that we can get hassled.

The company has refused to tell me where they got the info.....

How many people have the Pantomime set? Have you noticed that the dame pin has an incorrect issue number on it? it has 2102, rather than 2012. I hope this isn't just mine!
