The guys at Olympin tell me that for all those UK members signed up for the 2012 membership year, the club pins are on the way. They were mailed earlier this week, so should be arriving soon.
They have also confirmed that the 2 year offer made back in May has now closed and that the price for UK collectors for the 2012 membership will be US$20. This will get you the 2012 club pin and the 2012 membership list.

A pin and a list of names for only $20 well that seems like a bargin NOT. the more I hear about these guys the less I want anything to do with them.
Details as to why you feel this way would be helpful
Is this the same person asking himself a question? lol
No, the second Anonymous was I, Sid Marantz. I forgot my URL so I am posting the only way I can at present. I am a board member of Olympin and a long time collector. We think we run a good club. No one is paid for the work or to contribute and we have existed for over 30 years. We are more than a pin and a mailing list. We are recognized and tied in with the IOC; we host shows; we provide education; we will help coordinate organized trading during the London Games. Many of our members will be in London for the Games and we hope to meet and trade pins with many of you. We hope a good many of you will join our Club. We have almost 600 members from over 30 countries and any one of them can behave in a variety of ways. We do not control each member.
What has this person heard? Is there something we should correct? Has the person heard the wrong info? We cannot respond if we do not have specifics. I will be gglad to follow up either here or privately with anyone who has questions or concerns. My email is sidmarantz@aol.com. Thanks,Sid Marantz
What is Olympin really trying to achieve with their little society ! Membership offers certain advantages ? What are they ? and does not being a member matter to the average Joe in the Street ?
I'm interested to know what role Olympin club has in running the pin trading centres at London 2012, are they not run by coca cola GB
This is Sid Marantz again. Our Club does not run the Coke Pin Trading centers although some of our members have helped Coke at prior games as employees and volunteers. The Coke pin trading centers are usually great places to trade and many of our members go to the centers and trade pins there as any other members of the general public can do. I am sure that will be the case in London.
To respond to Anonymous' post of November 9. We know not all pin traders will want to join our Club as each collector has his own agenda but we hope many will join. We look forward to many new members from London and hope our current offer and a limited edition 2012 Club pin along with other benefits of the Club will attract many of you. Anonymous is free to think and do what he wishes. I think when he meets many of us next year, he will find new friends and trading partners among us and see that most of us are pretty good people and grateful to be at the Games. Thanks, Sid
