10/8: Closing Ceremony Pin
As the end of the Olympic Games draws near, the Closing Ceremony pin will be on sale from later this evening.
Like the Opening Ceremony pin, this one is limited to 10,000 pieces and will probably sell fast too.

I bought one yesterday in the London 2012 shop at St. Pancras.
This is the last one I need! I;ve only just started collecting but I've got a good selection of the opening / closing ceremonies already...if anyone see's this, please pick me one up and I'll pay them ;-)
Thanks
I'm hoping this will appear in the usual online stores soon.
it's there but says sold out (after 20 mins!)

The main site always sells out quickly, thankfully though, i do have other sources.
DJ......please do share...I am NEWBIE_DJ :-)
You can get them for £31, postage included, on US Ebay, from a seller located in the UK.
£31? That's taking the p! I ain't paying that for one!
Oh and newbie, you'll find alternative shop links on this here site.
Has the one on the London 2012 site actually sold out or have they just made it sold out? I put it in my basket earlier this morning but when I went to pay it wouldn't let me check out even though the button still said available?
Closing ceremony pin is now available at Glam site
...And it seems they're all gone already!
Pins and things are selling these £14 and they still have some left!
Sold out at Pins and Things. Got mine though.....
hello all, does anyone know where I could get bone of the Cream tea pin badges from.
thanks
Managed to get one from pinsandthings this morning before they sold out (along with one of those gold thank you pins), yay!
the closing ceremony pin i mean.
Very upset not to be able to get a closing ceremony pin for my daughter who is taking part in it, but very cross to see so many on e-bay twice the price.
Closing Ceremony pin back in stock this morning at glamourousliving!
My closing ceremony/thank you pins arrived today from pinsandthings. They really are fantastic.
I have one of these spare if anyone would like to trade for an Opening Ceremony Pin?
I have one spare to if someone would also like to trade for an open ceremony pin badge
I've also got a Closing Ceremony pin that I'm willing to trade for an Opening Ceremony - Let me know if interested: hemish@hotmail.co.uk
Just bought a Closing Ceremony pin on e-Bay as I wasn't quick enough to buy one from the 2012 shop. However, looking at it I am wondering whether it's a fake. The words "Closing Ceremony" and the date "12 August 2012" are in a straight line rather than curving round and the date seems to be in a different font to the words "Closing Ceremony". How do I know if it's genuine or not?
The best thing to prob do is download a pic from one of the genuine sites and compare also if you did get it from e bay ask them to investigate. I did this with a fake, got my money back plus the seller was banned. Hope that helps
Thanks for your reply. Looking at the pin, I have just realised that 12 August is not written out in full. It just says 12 Aug 2012. However, loads of the Olympics Closing Ceremony pins on eBay look like this. Are they all fakes or could two slightly different closing ceremony pins have been issued?
Does anyone want to swap a Paralympic opening pin for an Olympic closing pin?
I was lucky enough to get mine from the official london 2012 shop and the 'closing ceremony' words is written straight with the date 12 Aug 2012 not written in full as well.
So which is correct? or both? The one pictured above seems a lot rarer on Ebay.Wonder why they chose to abbreviate the month on just one of the ceremony badges.
The original image I posted was the artwork I was provided. I presume that somewhere between the artwork and manufacture, the date was shortened and 'straightened'.
Ah! thanks for the info.Looking at ebay again, some sellers are using exactly the same photo as you.So we can safely assume this badge never saw production..cheers
Both pin designs do exist. I have both myself, one was bought on-line and the other at the 2012 megastore.

Would you mind sending me a photo of both pins please, backs and fronts if you can?
Thanks.
Interesting..I must admit I prefer the one pictured above. The date looks less of an afterthought.I'd hang on to that if I were you, seems less common,at least on ebay :)
