Here's a picture of the Coca Cola 500 day pin I mentioned a couple of days ago.
Seems like there are already a few on eBay. Some have sold for around £25/£30 and others are listed from £25 to £45 at the time of writing. I'm trying to find out the issue size for this pin. Interestingly, this one does not have a London 2012 logo on it, but the back markings are consistent with the first pin.

Surprise surprise these pins are for staff only.
At least that clears us collectors who are normally blamed for posting pins on ebay.
Acer, I agree. I'm getting tired of sponsors treating collectors as a nuisance when we can help spread their name. What's the point of sponsoring the Games when you don't want ordinary people to talk about you - at least in a positive way.
We've seen both BMW and Thomas Cook refuse to deal with collectors and then all of a sudden their pins are all over eBay at silly prices. If they allowed genuine collectors to get one or two pins each then they would generate good publicity rather than the bad eBay headlines. BT is a much better example of how to treat collectors.
On that very point I looked up Coke's press department and sent them an email asking about their pins. They were the one's who told me that the pins were for staff only... but said that they had one or two spare and sent me one, which duly arrived today and is very nice too. So praise where praise is due, well done to Coke.
One seller of this pin on Ebay even admits to being a Coca-Cola employee but says they are selling the pin because they need the money!
