23/7: Games-Time Mode

As we move into the final days before the Olympics commence, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that has supported the website, blog and message board since its inception back in 2009.

Those of you that know me and have communicated with me, know that I like to try and respond as fully and as quickly as I can. However as the activity has increased in the last two weeks and as it 'explodes' over the next three to four, I want to apologise now if it takes me a while to answer you.

During the Games, I hope to update the blog daily with new information that I have and will use Twitter where I can, but to be honest I have no idea how easy that will be! I plan to fit in pin trading, the website, events and family time during the Games so I am not sure what the balance looks like at the moment!

So, wherever you are, please keep emailing me with information when you have it, enjoy the Games and sometime in the autumn, we can all get some rest!

Paul.

Thanks, Paul, for a truly wonderful job. A Herculean effort on your part ! Thanks also to your family for supporting you through it all. Hopefully, we'll all get to meet for a pin meet party at the end of it all. Until then, take care and happy pin collecting/trading.

Paul, you are to be highly commended for providing a tremendous resource to the Olympic pin collecting community and others.

For a couple of years, I have visited your site daily and indeed very often, several times a day!

Your site caters to various collecting aspects - all of which are educational and enlightening. It is truly the bible on London 2012 pins!

You have spent countless hours on keeping your site current and we very much appreciate all your efforts.

I can hardly wait to meet you in person in London later this week and shake your hand to thank you for being such a valuable resource to me and to collectors world-wide!

Just to add to the above, I can't say "Thanks" often enough! The very first pin collector I spoke to told me "just go to London Pins". I think it's fair to say that Paul has done more than anyone to advance Olympic pin collectin in the UK.

An special pin in the form of an MBE in the New Year's Honours list would be a very fitting reward from a grateful nation!

Don't be ridiculous Paul, all thanks should be going your way, not coming from you.
